Established in 1927, the Chicopee Herald was for many years the newspaper of record for Chicopee residents. The Herald’s ownership changed hands several times before eventually falling under the Reminder Publications umbrella. After 86 years, the paper folded in 2016. Michael Dobbs sat down with Connecting Point’s Tony Dunne to discuss the importance of local media and what the relaunch of this heritage newspaper means for the community.
