Big band music will fill the Chapin Auditorium on the campus of Mt. Holyoke College once again on Saturday, March 2. Mt. Holyoke’s jazz ensembles will present their annual “The Big Broadcast!” under the direction of Mark Giofiddo. This is the fourteenth year students have staged a recreation of a live 1940s-era radio show, featuring well-known tunes from the American songbook and the Swing era. Producer Dave Fraser attended a recent rehearsal and brings us a sneak peek of the show.
