The death toll continues to climb in Beirut, where an explosion of more than 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate rocked the city last week. The blast killed more than two hundred people and left three thousand homeless.  

Paul Musgrave, assistant professor of political science at UMass Amherst spoke with Carolee McGrath about what’s happening in Lebanon following the Beirut blast. He also spoke about the continued protests and on-going concerns in Hong Kong after China enacted a new national security law.
