The most recent U.S. Census Bureau population estimates are out and its and up and down situation for Western Massachusetts. Like Massachusetts as a whole, Hampden and Hampshire counties saw growth. But Franklin and Berkshire County did not. As a GIS, Data, and IT Manager with Berkshire Regional Planning Commission, Mark Maloy studies trends in Berkshire County.
