On June 7th, athletes from across Massachusetts will meet in Boston for the Special Olympics Summer Games. It is the first major event of the year for the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Western New England will be represented well at the summer games. Western Mass native Patrick Adams will compete in track and field events. For the last 15 years, Patrick has made Special Olympics his home, traveling all over the world to compete in the sport he loves. Connecting Point’s Ross Lippman shares Adams’s story, and introduces us to the woman who made his Olympic dreams possible.
