The Zonta Club is an international outreach with a mission of empowering women through service. Recognizing that access to menstrual products can be a financial burden for women living in poverty, local Zonta Club chapters launched The Period Project. The Period Project helps women and teens in need through free monthly menstrual kits distributed to homeless women and local shelters. Patricia Pupek, President of the Quabog Valley Chapter, and Mary Knight, Director of the District 1 Chapter, sat down with Carolee McGrath to discuss the group’s mission.
