International topics, as explored by speakers from near and far, is the focus of the World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts. Harry Krejsa of the Center for New American Security, and Bill Scher, Politico Magazine contributing editor, spoke recently at the Council about the United States foreign and domestic policy. In February, Krejsa wrote a report titled Heartland Security: How Global Engagement Once Fueled the American Middle Class – and Can Again, and he joined Scher in the studio to discuss it with Carrie Saldo.
