The American Red Cross has issued an emergency call for blood donations, as they’re facing a blood shortage. While many people step up and donate in the wake of a disaster, hospitals rely on life-saving blood transfusions year-round, and the supply is dependent on the generosity of donors.
Carolee McGrath sat down with Red Cross spokesperson Kelly Isenor to learn more about the current need for blood donations in western Mass.
