This November, voters will choose whether to set nurse staffing ratio limits in Massachusetts hospitals. The Safe Patient Limits Ballot Initiative would limit the number of patients nurses can care for in hospitals, and proponents of the measure say it will ensure better care for patients.

Carolee McGrath sat down with Donna Kelly Williams, a registered nurse and the president of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, to find out why she is in favor of this measure. Tomorrow’s Connecting Point will feature a guest opposed to the ballot question.
