Police work is about keeping people safe in their communities. But over the last year and a half, police involved shootings and the subsequent public reaction in places like Ferguson, Baltimore and Chicago have had many call into question whether cops are really the good guys. Groups such as Black Lives Matter have held demonstrations across the country and in Springfield (last spring) to protest against what they perceive as police misconduct or even police brutality.
But Former Holyoke Police Chief Anthony Scott, now retired, is speaking in favor of police officers across the country.
