We talk via Skype with Lindsay Moran, Boston-based Program Manager for National Partnerships at Liberty Mutual Insurance, about that company’s commitment to recruiting and hiring vets. Also joining us in studio is Linda Candage, Veterans Assistance Specialist at Career Points and FutureWorks Career Centers, to learn about the programs and help they have for military veterans re-entering the job market.

Stroll for Strength

For the last 8 years, the Sport and Event Management class at Longmeadow High School has been holding and fund raising event called Stroll for Strength. This year the event, a 5K road race through Longmeadow, will honor 23 people from the region who have lost loved ones. Connecting Point intern TJ Hannigan and producer Dave Fraser visited the School to learn more about the event and the some of the families it supports.
