While the Civil Rights Act of 1964 banned all forms of racial discrimination, the struggle for equality and justice continues. The 2014 Fair Housing and Civil Rights Conference to be held April 10-11 in Springfield will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and also salute the 25th Anniversary of the Massachusetts Fair Housing Center.
Jamie Wiliamson the newly appointed Chair of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination talks more about that.
